Terms of Use

1. The licence you get

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use PixoScan on devices you own or control, for personal or internal business use. You may not resell it, rent it, reverse-engineer it or strip out parts of it.

2. Subscriptions

Creating, editing, converting and exporting documents require an active subscription. Opening the app, browsing documents you already created, and reading the FAQ and legal pages do not.

• Prices, billing period and any introductory or trial offer are shown in the app before you confirm, and are set per store and per country.
• Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is switched off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel from your store account settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Where a free trial is offered, any unused part of it is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial.

3. Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple and Google, so refunds are handled under their policies — we cannot issue one directly. Contact the store you bought from. If something has gone wrong, write to us anyway and we will help where we can.

4. Your content

The documents you scan are yours. They stay on your device (see the Privacy Policy) and we claim no rights over them. You are responsible for having the right to scan, store and share whatever you put into the app.

5. Backups are your responsibility

Because there is no cloud sync, PixoScan keeps no copy of your documents. Losing, resetting or wiping your device — or deleting the app — deletes them permanently. Export anything you cannot afford to lose.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use PixoScan to forge documents or signatures, to commit fraud or identity theft, to process material you have no right to, or in any way that breaks the law where you are.

7. Accuracy

Text recognition and the DOC, XLS and TXT exports are automated approximations rebuilt from what the app reads on the page. Layout can only be approximated and recognition can be wrong. Check the output before relying on it for anything important.

8. No warranty

The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost or corrupted data arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

10. Changes to the app and these terms

We may add, change or remove features, and we may update these terms. The current version always lives at pixoscan.app/terms; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

11. Termination

You may stop using PixoScan at any time by deleting it. We may suspend the licence if you breach these terms.
